Isolated guards over a doorway create a massive structural 'Point-Load' that can rip the snow guard off or buckle the metal panel. Snow retention must be distributed across the entire run to hold the snow blanket evenly, preventing the 'Sliding Sheet' effect that shears off accessories.

Check the manufacturer's technical manual (e.g., SnoBlox or S-5!) for your specific rib height (1.5" vs 2"). Clamp-on guards for standing seam have much higher shear-strength than adhesive-mounts. Using adhesive guards on a 12:12 pitch without checking the 'Rib Load' is a major liability risk for your business.
