Most major manufacturers require a minimum of 60-mil thickness to qualify for a 'No Dollar Limit' (NDL) warranty. While 45-mil is cheaper, the 60-mil membrane offers superior puncture resistance and UV stability, which drastically reduces your long-term maintenance liability.

Fully adhered systems require ~30% more labor and significant adhesive costs ($1.50+ sq/ft). However, they eliminate 'membrane flutter' and offer the highest wind-uplift ratings. Use 'Mechanically Fastened' for budget-conscious box retail and 'Fully Adhered' for premium office space.

Always add 15-20% to the field square footage for TPO projects. This covers the mandatory 6-inch seam overlaps, 12-inch parapet wall flashing, and curb detailing. Underestimating these 'details' is the #1 reason commercial roofing bids lose margin.
